As Tim Robbins did in “Shawsank Redemption” I
escaped from the hole I was living these first months in Denmark.
Back in June, since my chances to get a place
through the Accommodation Office were less than the Melilla F.C to win the
Champions League, I started to search something on my own so I joint the
waiting list of KKIK that runs a lot of kollegiums or dormitories. The main problem
here is that, depends of the kollegium, it might take up to three years to get
a room. Eventually the University found me a place where I assumed I’d stay
till February when my contract expired.
There was the time where my good luck that
always accompanies me played its role. While I was in Helsinki, certain night I
was waiting that “some” guy ended giving piano lessons; I ended up checking the
spam folder. Yeah, I know, I do that sometimes…Well, it happened that I had got
an offer to move to a kollegium. After much hesitating and thinking I decided
to accept the offer. Truth to be told, my new room is quite far away from DTU,
but is ok, I used to spend 4 hours to get to the faculty when I was living in
Alcalá de Henares.
I will tell you how is my new room in coming
posts.
P.S. Thanks Jonathan for driving me and my
stuff!
